Who We Are
Dare Arts is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging the arts in Dare County through advocacy, enrichment and opportunity. Dare Arts strongly believes that the Arts are essential to the creation and sustenance of a thriving, vital community.
What We Do
Dare Arts operates a fine arts gallery for emerging and established artists, providing a year-round display of local art. The gallery is located in the historic 1904 Dare County Courthouse, located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Avenue in downtown Manteo, NC. Each month we feature at least one new exhibit, with an opening reception held each First Friday from 6pm – 8pm. Our receptions are always a lively event with live music, light fare and libations.
Additionally, we host community programs for all ages, such as: The Power of Art, Artrageous, The Veterans Writing Workshop, Rock the Cape, The Outer Banks Film Society, and more!
