Join the Friends of Jockey's Ridge at Jockey's Ridge State Park for a marine debris cleanup and beach sweep at the Soundside beach access. Jockey's Ridge State Park Ranger Austin Paul will lead this volunteer opportunity alongside other environmental stewards of the park. Help us protect the tallest active sand dune system on the east coast.
Where to Park:
Please park at the Jockeys' Ridge State Park Soundside Beach Access at 330 W. Soundside Road, Nags Head
Where to Meet:
Ranger Austin Paul will meet all volunteers at the Soundside Beach Access parking lot.
What to Bring: Please be prepared with sunscreen as needed and water for hydration. If weather allows, some marine debris cleanup time will be spent in the shallow water of the sound.
