Surfrider Foundation, Outer Banks Chapter

Who We Are

Our chapter is led by an incredible group of dedicated individuals. Get to know them on our website and see how you can be a part of this growing movement.

What We Do

Founded in 1993, Surfrider Foundations Outer Banks Chapter consists of more than 100 members — both locals and visitors — all committed to preserving the environment and access opportunities that define our home from Corolla to Frisco. It’s our belief that the more people enjoy the beach, the more they’ll work to protect its culture and ecology. Over the past three decades, Outer Banks Surfrider’s tackled issues such as water quality and offshore energy while striving to give back to the community via scholarship programs, events and beach clean-ups. We invite anyone who wishes to join the cause — or just engage in healthy debate — to come out to one of our meetings or other scheduled activities.
